Eugenics and Forced Sterilizations in America (Video)
An estimated 60,000 people were sterilized during a 40 year period in the U.S. that ended in the 1970s. Most of them were women of color, including civil rights icon Fannie Lou Hamer. This video provides a brief history of the eugenics movements and the forced sterilizations that defined it.
